Snow in Porat

The evening before i saw a weather forecast saying that its supposed to snow. But most times that they put snowflakes over my island it just doesn’t happen. And even tho nothing pointed to snow i had a feeling that this time they were right. Well i was kinda hoping. I even wrote a status on facebook saying something like… hope ill wake up tomorrow to find a white photogenic day…

Just porat_snow-13 before 10am mother knocked on my door. I knew it already :) She just said: “You wanna go out and you wanna take your camera with you.”

I know its silly how I’m making it sound like it’s a big deal. It’s just snow. Yeah, but for us snow is a little miracle.

I opened the house door and was blinded by the whiteness of my village. There was around 15-20 cm of snow and it was still snowing. Last time a scene like that happened in this place was in the year of 1987. I was 5 years old and its one of my first memories. Well just certain flashes of it still got hanging on in some nostalgic part of my brain.

Guess you know by now that this normal yet extraordinary event made me freeze my ass big time. I was out for hours taking photos :) So here they are…
